FORMAT: 54 hole scratch medal championship, no cut, all players to play 3 rounds.

PRIZES: 54 hole professional champion £1,000 prize money. 54 hole amateur champion. 54 hole over 60's champion. Single round prizes and handicap trophy and prizes. 

PUTTING CHAMPIONSHIP: 36 holes played on Tuesday & Wednesday.

NATIONS CUP: Teams of 3 players from any country 

COUNTY CUP: Teams of 3 from any English, Scottish or Welsh county 

PRACTICE: Sunday afternoon after 2 p.m. August 19th and all day Monday August 20th. The club has a large practice ground and practice green. Balls provided. Bag storage/electric trolleys available for travellers by rail, air etc. Buggies are available for those with medical needs or for over 65’s for practice and tournament.

ENTRY FEE: £75 or 85 euros, to include practice rounds

HOTEL: The recommended hotel is the Abbotsley Golf Hotel, Abbotsley, St.Neots,  PE19 6XN. This is approximately 13 miles/20 kms away, via A428, approximately 20 minute journey. Room rate for tournament, £50 single or £79 twin, including full breakfast. Tel: 01480 474000

CAMBRIDGE MERIDIAN: The course was designed by BBC commentator and Ryder Cup player, Peter Alliss, and is owned and run by Vivien Saunders and Jenny Wisson, your hosts for the week. The club website is www.golfsocieties.com. 

LOCATION and TRAVEL: Cambridge Meridian is on the B1046 in the village of Toft, 4 miles south west of the City of Cambridge. NB. Previous postcode was CB3 7RY. Easy access from M11 Junction 12. For those travelling by air the club is 30 minutes by car from London Stansted Airport. Transport can be arranged from Stansted to Abbotsley Golf Hotel. From Scotland – direct train to Peterborough. Easy access by Eurostar, one hour from St. Pancras International. Transport from Peterborough or local stations will be available
