Welcome to Cambridge Meridian Golf Club

Cambridge Meridian Golf Club is so called because it straddles the Greenwich Meridian Line - just one of 10 courses in the world to do so. Golfers cross the Meridian Line seven times during their round on this stunning championship course. The course sits majestically on a glorious 210 acre site between the villages of Toft and Comberton, just 5 miles west of Cambridge. It was designed by the Ryder Cup players, Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, and many in the know suggest that it is Alliss's best UK course design. At 6,700 yards, with a par of 73, and water dotted around on many holes, it is a stern scoring test for the lowest of handicaps but its generous fairways make it pleasantly playable for all. Reminiscent of a links course in places, it combines classic golf with modern golfing challenges. The USGA standard greens give a wonderful putting surface all year round and the triple tier 5th green is one you'll never forget.

Sir Garfield Sobers, visited the club on Monday 6th June. Sir Garfield" known for being the first cricketer to get six six's in one over" who played alongside "Basher Hassan" and 50 others golfers took to the course in a bid to raise funds in aid of "Meldrith Manor". Play got under way in rather wet conditions. However this did not deter any of the golfers from going for gold and making it a good days event. Picture shows Sir Garfield, Ian Williamson and Basher Hassan, taking a well deserved break in the halfway house before going on to finish the back nine.

Our halfway house offers a friendly atmosphere and a welcome break, serving hot & cold drinks. There is also a good selection of hot & cold snacks to fill the gap. Why not try one of our Sausage sandwiches (the sausages made specially for us by Andrew Northropes of Cambridge) cooked to order or a tantilizing double bacon sandwich.

Sandwiches and filled baguettes are made fresh each day for you to savour.

There is also a nice selection of cakes for you to indulge in. Why not phone your order through from the 9th tee so it will all be waiting for you when you reach the halfway house.
The halfway house is open every Sat & Sun 9am - 1.30pm.

We have been serving excellent Sunday Lunches for many years now, and as a result find ourselves with a full restaurant every week. Our Sunday Roast offers great value with uncompromised quality and all the ingredients are freshly prepared and cooked the very same day.

Although privately owned and modern in outlook, Cambridge Meridian has a thriving members' section, with all the usual competitions and matches. The senior section is an active mid-week group, open to both men and women, with a variety of competitions and social activities.

We have a number of different membership categories, with equality for men and women:

Cambridge Meridian lends itself to some excellent Open tournaments throughout the year. Always good humoured and well attended. The tournaments finish with a presentation, well deserved refreshing drink in the clubhouse bar and a delightful meal afterwards.
